Nancy Lea Olson

Nancy Lea Olson, 67, of Parsons, died at 6:57 A.M., Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home.

She was born January 29, 1956 at Parsons, a daughter of Charles Anders and Rosie Lea (Powers) Olson. She was raised in Parsons and attended Altamont schools. After completing high school she took art lessons from Ted Watts at his studio in Oswego. She worked at Ace hardware throughout the years and moved to Branson in 1992. While at Branson she worked at Sigma House and the post office. She retired and returned to Parsons in 2004 to help raise grandchildren.

She was united in marriage to Patrick Ryan at Parsons. They later divorced.

She grew up and was baptized in the First Baptist Church and continued her membership through the years. Her hobbies included fishing, drawing and oil painting. She also enjoyed making dream catchers, leather work and was a caregiver to her grand-dogs, Onyx and Azula. Nancy had a passion for people and for being a friend to those who were in a tough place. She became a second mom to many over the years and kept in contact with dozens of those who she helped. Being a positive voice in their lives was important to her.
