Valerie C. Dewey, 57, of Parsons, died at 7:13 P.M., Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the emergency room at Labette Health.
She was born February 21, 1966 at Riverton, WY, a daughter of Elizur Wilbert and Maxine Louise (Eagle) Dewey. She grew up at Riverton and attended elementary school on the Wind River Reservation and later attended high school at Dubois, WY. During those years, her guardians were John and Mildred Presley. She moved to Parsons in 1988 and worked several years at Ruskins, retiring in the early 2000s.
She enjoyed animals and especially loved cats.
Survivors include: her companion of many years – Kale Wilson, Carthage, MO; one son – Roman Dewey, Oswego, KS; one daughter – Alyda Means, Pittsburg, KS; ten grandchildren; one brother – Raymond Dewey, Arapahoe, WY; three sisters – Alvina Blackburn, Riverton, WY, Lilimay Dyer, Joplin, MO, Elisha Dewey, Parsons, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son – Arlo Means; one brother – Neuman Travis Dewey and sister – Marisha Sage.
