Paul "Eddie" Fisher

Paul E. “Eddie” Fisher, 73, of Parsons, passed away at 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the Elmhaven East Nursing Home in Parsons.

He was born April 12, 1950, in Parsons, to John D. and Nola A. (Trout) Fisher. The family lived in Labette City and moved to Parsons when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Parsons High School in 1968 and attended Labette Community College.

In October of 1974 he and Patrice Horton were married. They later divorced.

Eddie owned and operated Fisher’s Apco at 13th and Main for many years. He also worked as a brakeman for the M-K-T Railroad, was a custodian for USD 503 and a custodian for the city of Parsons at Belmont Towers.

He was an avid sportsman, playing basketball, baseball, volleyball and slow pitch softball for many years. He loved fishing and camping.  He spent several months each year at Melvern Lake fishing and visiting around campfires with wonderful camping friends.  Eddie loved having a good time and was always laughing.  He was forever a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
