Michael D. Standley

Michael D. Standley, age 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 29, 2024 at his home following a short battle with liver and kidney failure. He was born October 5, 1974, in Parsons to William “Bill” and Virginia “Ginny” (Stover) Standley.

He attended school in Parsons and graduated in 1993. He worked various jobs throughout his life and most were focused on mechanics. If it had a motor, he could probably fix it. He’d been working as a boiler operator for the PSHTC for the past 10 years. Prior to that he worked for Harpers Automotive for about 13 years as a mechanic.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He could often be found outside enjoying the warm weather and messing around in one garage or another, sitting around a fire in the fall while listening to music, and riding his Harley.
