Virginia R. Beaver, 93, of Olathe and formerly of Parsons, passed away at 5:35 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2024, at Overland Park Regional Hospital in Overland Park.
Virginia Ruth Gnadt was born on March 20, 1931, to Charles E. and Ethel N. (Thompson) Gnadt in Joplin, Missouri. As a young girl, she grew up and attended school in Joplin, graduating from Joplin High School.
On December 17, 1948, Virginia and Noel D. Beaver were united in marriage in Joplin, Missouri. From 1956 to 1967, the family lived in Joplin, Carthage, Nevada and Carl Junction, Missouri. After moving to Parsons in 1967, Virginia attended Coffeyville Vocational Technical School. She worked as a certified dietary manager at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center until her retirement.
