PACF: New grants to help small, non-profit projects
The Parsons Area Community Foundation recently launched a new mini-grant program to benefit organizations in its service territory.
The Pete and Mary Hughes Impact Fund for Mini-Grants has been established through an estate gift from Pete and Mary Hughes, lifetime volunteers for the Parsons area. This fund celebrates and supports the work of Parsons area citizens in making communities stronger today and for future generations.
The purpose of the mini-grant program is to provide financial support to non-profit projects in and around Parsons.
“The Parsons Area Community Foundation is continually exploring ways to help provide resources for the betterment of our community,” said PACF Executive Director Becky Dantic. “This new grant program will offer an opportunity for organizations to receive much needed funding throughout the year.”
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and awarded quarterly. Eligible applicants include schools, churches, government entities, and IRS recognized non-profits. Grants awarded are intended to assist organizations in implementing or completing projects or initiatives that will have a positive impact on the community. Maximum and minimum mini-grant awards will vary based on need and available funding.
The application period is now open. Those interested can apply online at www.parsonsareacf.org/apply-for-a-grant.
“This new program is a shining example of the impact of legacy giving,” said Dantic. “We could not offer these resources without our extremely generous donors and we are eternally grateful for their support.”
