LCC opens scholarship applications
Labette Community College and the LCC Foundation announce that scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will open on Tuesday. Scholarships are available for new and returning students.
Students are encouraged to apply early, as funds are limited. For more details and to apply, visit www.labette.edu/financialaid/scholarships.html. This online application allows students to be considered for both Foundation and LCC institutional scholarships.
“The Foundation Scholarship Committee is set to award hundreds of scholarships generously created by individuals passionate about supporting student success,” said Lindi Forbes, executive director of the LCC Foundation and Alumni Association. “This year, we’re thrilled to allocate $154,293 to assist students with covering tuition, fees and books. Scholarship funding comes from endowed scholarships, annual donations, and proceeds from the Auction for Scholarships.”
Academic scholarships are based on college or high school grade point average (GPA). High school students may apply for the scholarship for the upcoming academic year following high school graduation, with renewal pending on grade performance and availability of funds.
Labette County resident scholarships can provide tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester at LCC.
Cardinal academic scholarships can provide tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester to incoming in-state high school students with a GPA of 3.0 who live outside of Labette County.
The Cardinal Pathway Scholarship can provide tuition for up to 16 credit hours per semester to incoming high school students with a high school GPA 3.5, who reside in bordering states.
